Christine Walters BEd, ASDA, ATCL
Chris has had more than twenty years experience in the arts industry.
Christine was a founding member and on the Board of the Eureka ! Theatre Company and was in the inaugural season of the Canberra Comedy Theatre Company in the ACT, in lead roles and directing professional theatre productions.
Chris has also worked in a number of professional and "pro/am" theatre companies in Canberra and Melbourne and has written scripts for productions involving up to 350 actors. She has acted in everything from the classics to contemporary theatre and from drama to comedy. Chris has also had television and film experience.
For seven years Chris was the voice tutor and consultant to professional acting students at the National Theatre Drama School in St Kilda. Chris has also worked with actors, singers, politicians and other professional people as private students and as a consultant in corporate organisations, government departments and in government and private schools. As a trainer, Chris has developed and presented a program in communication and public speaking skills for the Foreign Affairs Trainees in the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Chris has a degree in drama from Melbourne University and qualifications in speech and drama from the AMEB and Trinity College, London. She is a member of Actors Equity (The Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance) and The Australian Voice Association.
